Uncut Gems is like watching a skydiver jump without a parachute. There will be thrills along the way, and moments of hope, but ultimately you just know that this person is going to crash.

The Safdie brothers take an unusual approach where the characters don’t learn and don’t grow; their protagonists is stubbornly stuck.this is a fall arc where change doesn’t happen. As Josh Safdie said  “I don’t know many people who change—in particular, who change over a short span of time, that’s just not how life unfolds.”

BINGE! It’s a skydiving trip you won’t forget but don’t watch it with kids.
