Inception Movie Review

Christopher Nolan’s movies boil down to 3 themes: Theft, Threat, and biggest of all, Time. Inception combines all three of these into one of the greatest, if not the greatest, action film ever made. Seriously, I don’t understand why some people hate this movie!

Inception as a concept began for Nolan at age 12. From that age he wanted to make a movie on lucid dreams. So the idea for this action drama had been brewing for a long time!

I’ll keep this review short because there’s been so much written about this movie. But let me add my two cents. The movie inception is all about subtlety planting an idea into someone’s mind without them realizing it. Now hear me out, In short, inception is a movie that shows what every movie does: it subtlety implants an idea into an audiences mind without them realizing it. Movies are inception. They take ideas, world views, concepts, and pass them onto those passively watching. Every movie is a lecture, a lesson, a sermon. There’s always a worldview attached, there’s always a concept of humankind promoted.

Oh yeah and one other interesting thing: the team in Inception is based on a filmmaking team: there’s a director, set designer, actor, producer, writer, etc. Maybe a connection to this idea, maybe not, but its fun to ponder.
